IdealShape, Day one!!

If you follow any of my posts I'm sure you already know that I am a working mom. Well, we have just added another member to the Rivers family. I had a beautiful baby boy just recently. So now my challenge is losing the stubborn baby wieght. I am currently 25 lbs heavier than I was before the pregnancy! I am starting the journey to lose the weight today. Using the IdealShape weight loss system and regular exercises, I am looking to loose all my baby weight and then some!!

IdealShape is designed to help you take weight off and keep it off by using a system that is different than most weight loss programs you will find. I personally have never attempted hypnosis of any kind so I must admit, I am a bit intrigued with the concept. Poor sleep effects the body’s ability to release hormones that affect appetite. Self Hypnosis is an effective way of achieving restful sleep. Poor sleep can be caused by stress and poor nutrition. “Deep Sleep” will help you fall asleep, stay asleep, and ensure a deep restful slumber."

Also, I will be utilizing the daily meal replacement shakes and supplements offered by IdealShape. I am using both the chocolate and the vanilla shake powder, which can be added to water or skim milk depending on your preferences.

In conjunction with the shakes I am also taking two supplements from IdealShape. Twice a day (every morning and early afternoon) I am taking the ResveraShape Weight Loss Support and the ResveraShape Weight Loss Enhanced.

So Now I start my journey to a new me. Wish me luck!!!

Newman's Own Organics Giveaway

If you are a snacker and love organics, then keep reading!

As we all know, healthy weight loss includes occasional snacking, in moderation of course. Well, when we do our occasional splurge, wouldn't it be nice to know that at the very least the products are all organic? Well, Newman's Own Organics lives that philosophy. Originally started as a division of the well known Newman's Own brand in 1993, Newman's Own Organics is now it's own company producing and distributing organic products ranging from chocolate bars to organic pet foods.

I was very impressed by the quality of the Signature Series chocolate bars from Newman's Own Organics.

My favorite of which was the Mocha Milk Chocolate, a new product in the line. It was gourmet quality! You just have to love a product with an ingredient list that consists of REAL WORDS instead of all those complicated chemical names. The Mocha Milk Chocolate's ingredients list read as:

Mocha Milk Chocolate:
Organic Milk Chocolate (organic evaporated cane juice, organic cocoa butter*,

organic whole milk powder, organic chocolate liquor*, organic soy lecithin [an emulsifier], organic vanilla), Natural Coffee Flavor

Really? Does it get any easier than that?

I also tried the Newman-O's. Newman-OMG, these are delicious!! I absolutely fell in love with the Hint-o-mint flavor. I was debating whether I even wanted to share with my kids!! (Haha)

I could not tell enough people (including all of you fine readers) how much I truly enjoyed this product. These are defiantly a product I can see myself using for more than just snacking. They would be AWESOME crumbled up as brownie or cupcake toppers, or even sprinkled on Ice cream. I am planning on baking an entire layer of them into the middle of my daughter's birthday cake in a couple of months. If you are a fan of the chocolate mint combo, you have to get your hands on some of these supremely good cookies.

Are you a candy fan?? I am typically not, however, I tried the Newman's Own Organics Licorice and am changing my mind! The pomegranate flavored licorice was fabulous, where as my kids loved the sour cherry. Newman's Own Organics makes licorice in flavors not typically found in stores. I was impressed on how much the candy tasted like actual fruit.

 If you are a licorice purist, then Newman's Own Organics also makes the old fashioned black licorice to keep you happy!

I would be remiss (and in the hot seat with the hubby) if i didn't mention Newman's Own Organics Pop's Corn. My husband is a popcorn fanatic. He eats popcorn almost every day, which is OK with me since it's a low cost, low fat snack. Unfortunately, my husband also has high blood pressure and is therefore on a low sodium diet. Well, that is not a problem with Newman's Own Organics as in their line of Pop's Corn they offer an unsalted option.

I had the light butter flavor and was not let down. All three options of the Pop's Corn are light and super crunchy! I absolutely hate when I pop popcorn and only half the bag actually pops. This was not an issue with Pop's Corn. After popping, we had a full bag of light crunchy deliciousness.
